...where we joined these two people (Heidi and Jeff).
We stayed in the French Quarter. At times, I felt like I was in Panama, with all the different smells and architecture.While there, we explored a lot.
We ate a crazy amount of wonderful food.
And we saw some beautiful sights.
Of course, there was the craziness of the nightlife. We heard some good music and explored even more. (Check out the old guy looking for some fun. I think the older people were wilder than the young ones.)
When we came back, the girls had had a wonderful time with their Mama and Papa. When they left the next morning, there were some unhappy little ladies at our house.

Man, I miss New Orleans. Such fond memories of the food (and drink! - this was in my "previous" life), the music and the architecture. I do hope things are better there now.
How fun! That's one city I still have to see. I'm so glad you two could get away and that you had fun. Miss you guys!

Sounds like you had fun. That was nice of your parents. It is always nice to get away once in awhile without kids. Love their little faces.

i have never been there! looks like i'm missing out. joey has been there once for work, but thats it. glad you guys got to getaway(moms need that especially!)
