Trip: Part 1, Paris

Ahh, Paris... What can I say. Ian and I had an amazing 3 days in this beautiful city before heading off to Stockholm. We knew that we would have time to visit one other country besides Sweden but didn't know which to choose. Paris was kind of a left over city (when we were choosing). Ian wanted Spain, but for more than 3 days. And I wanted Italy, for more than 3 days. So naturally, we chose Paris because who knew when we would ever go. Once we got there, we were so glad that we had gone. The people were so nice (despite what we had heard) and between English, Spanish, and Ian's slight knowledge of French, we were able to communicate pretty well.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was all of the amazing food. I was a complete pig the whole time. The breads were amazing. I could have survived completely on bread. That or creme brulee. I won't even start on that one. But seriously, the food was amazing!

The architecture was gorgeous. We seemed to take hundreds of pictures of buildings because they were all so beautiful. It was definitely like stepping back in time. And we just couldn't get enough of it.

(Another pretty scene)

Of course, we saw all of the tourist sites.

Notre Dame

Arc de Triomphe

The Louvre

The Louvre definitely put every single museum, that I have ever been to, to shame. It was so amazing. I felt like I could have spent all 3 days in just that one museum.

A picture of me calling the girls.
Thanks to my parents, Ian and I were able to do this 12 day trip without the kiddos.

Paris was beautiful. Everything about it was beautiful. We loved our time there. But I do have to say that my most favorite part of the trip was being with:

It was definitely like a second honeymoon.
Thanks hun. It was perfect.

How exciting for you guys! My folks have been a couple of times and they both said some of things you said: it was beautiful and that easily needed a couple of weeks at the Louvre! Hope to see more photos!

I love the picture of you calling the girls and the sweet shot of the Eiffel Tower. And what a sweet thing to say about Ian...you are the best wife! I hope to go back to Paris some day...when I went I was too young to truly appreciate it all...however, I do remember appreciating the crepes on average 3 times a day:)

Did you really get to take a picutre of the Mona Lisa (sp?) Amazing!! Glad you had so much fun.
